@squirtle1393, it was a change Chucky announced Tuesday, 7 August 2018, 20:54 - I understand the reasons why, but looked too harsh to me, I made this appointment.

There's many other ways to check if ingame actions are fair or not and, only my opinion: Don't allow clones seems a bit too radical, as already stated!
@squirtle1393, you're not the only one, but you were the first posting about it!

In future it will be possible for members...
I wonder how this check is possible if players join from same connection as "Player" and "Player #1" - If one logs in, are clones allowed? A pre-login before entering the game?!

Whatever solution Chucky's working on, I wish good luck on his endeavours :)
But as it is now, it's "nazi'est" :P

It's the station name that must match town name (game mechanics). Rename station doesn't work, needs to get town name when placed.

Edit: and checking better, I think that station violates a couple rules :D

Won't add much, but was a player from Lao People's Democratic Republic, and he already did the same on BTPro servers and therefore was banned.

After many tries, Kyrre don't want to join IRC channels - would be alot of help for timestamps and the golden player(s) IP's on this kind of rulebreak reports, to admins quickly see where to look!
My next suggestion is to use CTRL+S ingame, avoiding all that white space on the image,uploading it to IMGUR (just an example, there's many others) to host image and post link(s) here - all will work, that's a sure!

Maybe me and Kyrre have a long story in the past, but it's there! I'm not that ugly or scary... as long players respect each server rules :P

I know Knogle's work as admin (and way more) and he's well respected as so! And he knows it :)

but, Kyrre, it's still NOT allowed to block a Coal mine, even if there's other 100, and with better production. Can you understand the analogy?

not allowing clones (and kicking the clone) it's too excessive, in my opinion!
We have some cases at BTpro that purely play at same company (happens alot), using same connection, and this changes make it impossible on n-ice. Can be BF/GF, room mates or whatever - for some I even demanded a pic proving that were really diff persons. and got some funny pics with openttd on screens (won't share for their privacy, because I only wanted a confirmation).

Anyway, only my opinion: Don't allow clones seems a bit too radical! :)

this discussion can lead to when were still allowed competition on secondary industries on n-ice - yeah, rules were once like that. And I always defended the idea that a competitor company should be able to build to build similar stations as the first company - it was fun with alex879ro, that abused and caused myself leaving n-ice admin team (among other changes) - but similar abuses are not fun any more, specially on primary resources.
And I consider a Town/City a primary resource and, if by any way, a player limits competition on a primary resource the same way he does, it's an unfair action, that admins should level! There's none said in rules that a funded town/city is "fully or partially" private, so... all other companies must, and for the sake of server rules, should access town/city in same way/coverage as the 1st one.

And if anyone states Game Mechanics, when a town/city is funded it builds their own roads, accordingly the settings set! And that's why they're called town roads. As it seems, players abuse on funding towns on specific places already prepared to keep "competition out". I am wrong?

Anyway, if not stated on rules, funded towns/cities aren't private, making the above screenshots a clear violation of rule #4, for the reasons stated above.

@Knogle: yeah, I'm just seeing you compete that town/city via busses/trucks to the outside via the already built tunnels!!! that's only words to don't make it look bad!

You just showed us how to keep competition out of a City Center! Even if a funded town!

I truly hope that admins see it on how it is. Personally I'm sad that Kyrre, after all this years, have no ide how a City grows!

Now admins can judge, by the screenshots, how the RED player had a bunch of vehicles, inside a square, and with roads made, keeping it unreachable on the same terms.

Well, I just pointed it - but the same players keeps doing it - in the "fair" way as shown! (several places now - this time of game)

So, as I asked previously: Is squaring a City like this allowed?

this happens quite often on server #9 with Station spread: 12 tile(s), Train length: 12 tile(s) and only 35,000,000 EUR company value as goal.

on a quick chat with our friend google, found this:
checks are done at the beginning of the quarter (1st January, 1st April, 1st July, 1st October) have negative bank balance, 3 quarters in a row.

So, best way to avoid bankrupcy is not being in red WHEN those checks are done. or, at least, avoid 3 in a row xD

Since none, I'll try my best as a normal player ^^

IMO _bobby_tables_ didn't read the WIKI on correct sequence, and can be even another steps! All is told on OpenTTD wiki.

well, I still think Chucky clarified why servers needs a years span. I just wanted to clarify couple things myself:

|~19h|  is pointing the average of game time to goal. If I consider the last 5 normal games it is similar, average: 94 game years x 13,5 minutes / 60 minutes = 21,25h game time (not even close to 27 hours which ST2 pointed out)
- my words were: "- in a server from 1960-2080 (120 years), it's ~27 hours;" - that, for me, still continues to be ~27 hours, but I was speaking of the time span between game starts and forcefully restarts - that makes the difference;
- on server says |~19h|, last 5 games while "last 5 normal games it is similar, average: = 21,25h" - here it's the "small" discrepancy, and I bet the best times were done by cheating (old one);
- server #5 has 3 (three) registered games on the last 30 days, cheked on the post date. And I won't say that are bad players ^^

Anyway, just to say that time span is kinda short, and that server name needs to be adjusted! For the rest, _bobby_tables_ already got his answers :)
