- Age: Old enough to have seen the original Star Wars in theaters during its 1977 release when I was 11.  The answer is "old" for those wanting to avoid the math.

- Location: Florida, USA

- Explanations: Don't recall any admin issues.

- The main reason that made you want to become an n-ice admin: I want to support the community and keep participation high and fun for all here.  Really love OTTD and want to support a multi-player venue.

- How much are you online weekly (how many hours): 10-20 hours

- What is your current domain of work/ study: Work in IT, mainly with relational databases.

Hi Pepegeo,
like stated in the frontpage n-ice.org/ we are currently upgrading and testing our "server/goal manager". Version 13 changed quite significantly how  our "server/goal manager" should interface with the game, so it will take time to sort it out, and deliver a bug free upgrade.

In the meanwhile you can access our servers if you downgrade to 12.2;

I just upgraded to version 13 as it seems the last published version.
I like your environment and would like to continue to play in it
Is there a plan to move to version 13 or could i and must I backup to version 12 to continue to play?

Suggestions / Some suggestion about gameplay of server

I have been playing BtPro recently and found some interesting features to add to the server. But for some reason maybe distance the connection between me and BtPro server is always unstable compared to n-ice.org.
NewGRFs add a lot of fun to the server such as FIRS or ECS, there are just too few factories and cargoes in the original game. Complex industry chain add fun along with challenges .
It’s good to develop company without distraction of other players. But sometimes competition brings more fun. It’s also more real to have various routes provided by different companies , as in the real world you can choose different transportations to get from one place to another. I have thought about that and maybe limiting map size can help creating competition. Companies must compete for limited passengers and cargoes if there isn’t enough of them.
Wondering if it is possible to have them in the server.

how about a map inbetween.
You have alot of those "short" games and 2 really long games.
How about somthing inbetween like 1 or 3 billion and still on a big map with full timeline or somthing like that?

Hi I love n-ice very cool people.

I think the extreme is my favorite, i like coming back to huge lines running making tons of money when i wake up or come back from work
Right now a game lasts 8 hours or so.

I really think a EXTREME EXTREME server would be cool, maybe a 24h goal or more 36h
Maybe we could try it for a week really really long goal

Could it be that I've built too much roads around the town, so they can't find a suitable place to build a sawmill close enough?

Yeah that´s the reason! The town will try to build the needed sawmill if it´s enough place around. 2nd possibillity: you can build your station next to another sawmill because the main reason to catch the wood is that station is connected to your claimed town (you can check it by the station name - claimed town should be included while creating).
