what time range is it measuring? since account was created? since game was started? total playing time on this server? total playing time on all servers?
Well, with the risk of looking like i got no modesty, when it comes to co-op i accept only certain players in my company. That`s because i believe that if i co-op with someone , that person must have at least the same standards of building like me (i wouldn`t want anyone building a rail system with signal no5 or having small curves)
I also support this kind of strategy since co-op works better when both players have the same understanding of the game.
I had games where i didn`t respect this rule...and all the game i was like "don`t touch this, don`t touch that" just because my team-mate started changing them cause of various reasons so i`ve learned my lesson.
Well, WTF from South Africa did that. And ST2 banned him....and i agree with that...if i`d caught someone selling his trains right at the end just to score more points , i`d ban too.
As for your idea of penalizing late entries...I just got one question....WHY?
It`s hard enough for a player having to catch up....but being penalized....seems totally unfair...and also will ruin the number of players that actually try to catch up even if the oponent is far ahead.
Beside...xor is right...as soon as he changes the calculation formula ,a new thread will appear asking him to get back to the old formula.
dont worry alex
my pride of having a nice system full of trains is bigger then my will to score an extra 50 points
7. highest average rating per station :that sounds like you want to give only the person with the highest average station rating a bonus? that's too punctual and only awards one single player, i'd say we rather make it more fuzzy and just say "the algorithm should take the average station rating of each player into account for calculation of his score". so the higher the avg. station rating of a company is the more points the player gets.
8. crashed trains(points deducted)if you deduct 10 points from a player on server 7 it could mean you take all the points he gets for this game. do the same on server 5 and the player won't even notice the missing points.
