General / First time playing on Long Goal server with big disappointment

Hi, yesterday I played for about 14 hours on server #5 LONG GOAL -15 BIL and my company was doing very well, I reached almost half of the goal. Unfortunately this morning I woke up to see if I had win the game or at least came out second, but found that the server restarted and I didn't score any points at all for the long play. I don't know if this is a bug, but if this is the way long goal servers work, it discourages players from playing on those servers.
