well, I only know this because started working with 1.4.0-beta1, but still possible to set values ~30K(30996) - to stop town growing... even using 1.3.3 api's.

about the "CB-Test" means testmodus!, I know what it means... but players see this:

I've never claimed any authority on whatever OpenTTD field and neither trying to discredit Chucky's work, on the contrary. And that's why this thread has the name above.
but at least I've reported something (despite the fact that exagerated on the not logical stuff), with is more that what you (The_Dude) did, even after stated "I played new n-iec CB for a while"
btw, no one answers a question with 5 more questions, unless the reason is don't have an answer for it! but don't worry, you gave the answer here: "Different approach is always welcomed and time will say if it was good and whether players like it.", wich I consider valid and true.

about the Karma stuff, being able to downvote/upvote same player on same post several times... doesn't seem logical to me... unless you like fake popularity... if that, ok, I'll accept!

and about being sober, for almost 6 months (hope you can say the same)... but since I didn't knew the edit limitations, thought could update post with info I gather from the game.
all I can say is: started a company, delivered 1st demands, and wood (there was 1 close) and stopped building... but town kept growing, at same speed. when checked game again, was with 1K more pop.
and as you say, SetGrowthRate can be set to TOWN_GROWTH_NONE when not suplied... that will fix the bogus growth... and we're all glad that The_Dude suggested that

well, correct info is:
- deliver fully 1 (yes only one needed) cargo demand... and town will grow (tested)

edit4: why the heck a town needs Wood?
well, I guess towns grow with the deliver with deliver of a bunch of wood trunks

this reply was written 6 days ago... but got stuck in the CB storage!!
and I'm still waiting for my cousin to be released from the "waiting" room! for months!

I guess there's enough info

Edit1: This CB mode grows a town on same speed, doesnt matter if you deliver or not.... you only need to fullfill the start demands...;
Edit2: The waiting/stored cargo is not cleaned up after town demanded it;

Chucky, tested the changed CB and... well I liked the looks ^^

but... (always a but) ^^

Passengers and mail don't need to be stored! No other scripts storage that!
Anyway... I saw that coming... and even suggested a name for the server storing pax... and was "North Korea CB"
that came up among all tests I made with Aphid's ^^

On the other side, the cargo's demanded by town are hard coded on CB, not set depending of the map type!
So, my question is: I haven't made any CB script... but I want to see this one working on FIRS! possible?

about the "new growth"... towns grow... no matters if you deliver or not!

taking all that... Chucky made a good job... and works nice... I simply I dnt like send people and mail to storages... to release them next month... if lucky ^^

well,
this unban request started for the reason I well know. but...

some player (not active) tried to start an innuendo on me saying Ândreas to become a ST3.
personally I think that's a wich-hunting... and as Myhorta said, and well, not allowed here.

now.... to clear all the f****king situation... and ppl needs to know:
- alex879ro had/has some public sensible info in a public photo sharing service; (note: still there... remember that -  companies keep backups incase of court trials)
- Andreas told about the PUBLIC alex's profile (note: I remind you all: was a public profile and pictures)
- I told Andreas to speak to alex879ro in private to fix that, because was a dangeroues exposure
- I told to Frank the Andreas discover, and was public anyway, EVERYONE could see the pics there
- I, for sure, wouldn't say this to alex879ro, got banned from IRC channels for much less (**saved**)
- So, in the meanwhile.... Andreas didn't knwe I told Frank... and that Frank pocked alex (aka alex879ro)
- I think players don't need to know this - for the leack of "alex879ro" news on website...
- the same way he dont respect server rules (even the current ones) (or future ones if matters ^^)

but well.. quite long, but still continous ^^
- what being "admin" means to alex879ro?
- oh... forgot... what means being "Operator" to you?

and better... can you tell us the real reason for bans?
note: I was banned for 2 weeks for making a question!

well, after spending some time around AoE2:HD (too)... since it cames out ^^

I... wanted to kill some crazy robots...
I think someone mentioned it... but Commander Zod still rocking... and opensource ^^

oh well... maybe good for the players that visit some "abandonia" type of sites ^^
But, like OpenTTD, no fancy graphics... but the fully gameplay is there :)

it's not a station glitch. I guess it happens because the transfer railstation don't accept mail and if you don't set "unload all and leave empty" in the road station in the centre of a town will get a point trucks are travelling always full. And ofc, they don't unload the cargo in the same station.

well, probably no need of a screenshot... but why not make your point more easy to put things right?
as I said, "Because players have the tools to see things too"... only saying! and remember that could be a server error, a cheat or a legit action... so, better next time point the situation and ask if it's correct. And give any aditional info, if you have!
But "Michael is a cheat" seems a bit too strong without knowing all the info. Can be true or not - I'm neutral!

summarizing, try to point situation that you dnt consider correct/normal to who's in charge to check it (and as I said, any aditional info is welcomed)

note: for the goal, doesn't seem normal time but don't "kill 1st person on sight" without things (logs and so on) been investigated. ddr, I understand your reaction on the reply...
... And yes, I became more active last weeks - all around OpenTTD things ^^

- and well, the server chats (key below ESC show it)
- and !known <company_number> to see whos known in that specific company

This is for this case and to be considered for next player complaints. Better info makes admins decisions easier... a loooot!
Because players have the tools to see things too, with server !commands (type !help to see available commands)

but, and to the point again, if 2 companies used for the alleged purposes, alex879ro have the legit right to do it. period.

in my humble opinion, The_Dude, in few words, said it all here.

now, to justify my opinion:
If a player is leaving the game for any reason and Give money option is enabled he can distribute the "stash" among all players or can give it all to 1 company (note: the leaving player can, currently, Give money to a specific player, it doesn't matter the company that player is in). And since the player that receives the money has nothing todo with the player that gives it (obviously different companies; because possible to Give money inside same company :D), Multiplayer Rules says that's ok. Being correct and fair, all money transfers beyond the max available loan gives an unfair advantage to who received it!
The only point that (possibly) will fit is: "Don't abuse bugs or exploits because this only harms OpenTTD gameplay and destroys the gameplay of other people.", but... it's not a bug and if "the originally owning player made it clear that he or she is leaving the game, has no intentions to return and offers themselves or their resources to anyone else who wants them", it's not an exploit.
So, if the above conditions are met, Give money is ok or not? And why?

Anyway, The_Dude used some words, wich I agree... I've only tried to justify my opinion.
